The Age of Entities

The human imagination is capable of producing vast and magnificent content, edited with meticulous detail. Proof of this are the dreams we generate that deceive us. A dream can simulate waking reality to the point where we don’t even question whether it’s real or not.

This same imagination is capable of producing content such as spiritual guides, the feminine presence, the caboclos; all these entities are generated by the psyche itself, and their function is to lead the mind to an understanding of itself. Altered states of perception lead to confrontation with these beings in our ideas.

We are even capable of seeing them pass before our very eyes, and all these expressions cannot exist in reality; but rather in the mental dimension, on the spiritual plane. Their function extends from this dream world and can influence the reality of the observer; because by modifying the mind, one modifies reality.

Entities present themselves in the most varied forms, and all of them are delineated by consciousness. Consciousness always finds a vehicle for its intentions to be achieved; whether through a saint, a gnome, the apparition of a light, a woman in white, or a forest spirit. All these expressions are forms of a single will that exists in consciousness, which is to remain full and balanced, in harmony with the surrounding environment.

Laura Esteves

Laura Esteves builds worlds with words, and dismantles the ones that already exist. She writes about what hurts, what transforms and what refuses to be forgotten. She writes about love, identity and the systems that insist on defining us.

She believes literature is the only place where truth doesn't need permission. Her texts are born from the certainty that every story told with courage is an act of freedom; for whoever writes and whoever reads.
