Even if apart, may we be light

Dear wife,

I want to begin this letter by expressing my gratitude for all the moments we shared, the memories we built, and the love we lived together.

Our journey, no matter how much it has shifted direction, is a fundamental part of who I am today. It was not easy to get here, but I understand and deeply respect your decision.

I know that you, too, need to follow your own path, find new ways to be happy, and reconnect with yourself.

Just as I am going through this transformation, I know this new chapter is also a challenge for you. And although it is painful now, I believe that, with time, this distance can bring growth for both of us.

I want you to know that I hold no resentment, and what I wish for you most in this moment is that you find the peace and happiness you deserve.

The love we felt is not lost; it merely transforms. Perhaps, in the future, that transformation will bring us back together as friends, able to look back on what we lived with tenderness and a new perspective.

I know our bond was special, and I believe that, even as we take different paths, we can move through this chapter with respect and mutual affection.

I sincerely hope that time will help us heal the wounds, and that, when we are ready, we can find each other again – no longer as life partners, but as friends who understand and support one another.

I wish you the very best, always. May each of us bloom in her own way, and may there come a moment when we can smile again at the memory of our story.

With love and gratitude,
Laura
